When “O” Magazine premiered, Hearst Magazines and Oprah Winfrey sought to mount and launch a multi-city, live tour to promote the magazine. Oprah requested the ability to have a person in the audience projected with her simultaneously on two different screens right and left. Video and graphic content was to appear on a third center screen. Using cutting edge video switching technology, The Carlin Company took venues for 10,000 plus attendees and created a format that was intimate, highly affective, and extremely memorable. The event garnered huge acclaim.
When the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area Chapter asked us to collaborate with their team on their National Gala, we helped them establish their 2004 inaugural event and every annual gala since with a content-rich program that continues to inspire their influential audience of political and corporate leaders and philanthropists. Segments The Carlin Company produced for these events received two Telly Awards for “Remembering a Friend: A Tribute to Ronald Reagan, featuring Nancy Reagan. Subsequent galas have featured Chris Matthews, David Hyde Pierce and the premier of The Carlin Company’s award winning documentary “A Tribute to My Father” with Laura Bush.
In 1999, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery tasked The Carlin Company with creating an “Academy Awards” for ophthalmologists, “The Ophthalmology Hall of Fame.” Each year since then, a committee of medical experts nominates and selects worthy members of the ophthalmic community whose contributions to the field have been monumental. The Carlin Company creates historically significant documentaries about the honorees and produces the annual gala event at which these honors are presented. The event has become one of the most significant in the field. Because of their historical importance, the documentaries are distributed to the medical teaching universities throughout the United States and abroad.
The American Public Transportation Association holds and Annual Meeting that the Carlin Company produces yearly. Its specifications have been listed above. Besides four General Sessions, there are three separate awards programs that contain videos custom graphics and full production. In 2009, The Carlin Company was contracted to overhaul all of these events, fix problems, and give all of the events a fresh new look. Our company did so to great reviews. We have been awarded the conference again for 2011 in New Orleans.
Association of Women’s Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses
The Association of Women’s Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses was another organization that was looking to totally overhaul their Conference. The Carlin Company re-designed their entire program with engaging program concepts, video, and flying animated graphics for title, VIP’s and sponsors. This event was especially challenging because there conference was a casualty of the Nashville flooding in June. The entire event had to be re-planned to relocate 3000 nurses to the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. From the branding, staging and entertainment, The Carlin Company help the client exceed their expectations.
